Michael Fassbender is a wanted man over at Marvel studios.
Matthew Vaughn is apparently interested in having Fassbender play a young Magneto in X-Men: First Class, while Sony is keen on signing the actor up as the new villain in the Spider-Man reboot.
If audiences accept the new Spider-Man as well as the previous trilogy then Fassbender will be seen by a lot more eyeballs, and he may get a bigger paycheck if the film reaches the same $800 million heights as before. However, the trend for Spidey villains is that they meet their demise towards the end of the film, so it may only be a one film deal for Fassbender.
With X-Men: First Class, apart from being almost perfect for the part, Fassbender may get to appear in future sequels which he may find attractive. Magneto is also a lead character alongside James McAvoy’s Charles Xavier, so this will be Fassbender first major leading role in a blockbuster.
Which film do you think Fassbender would be best suited for?
